I have not had a lot of time to post homework this past week. I have seriously injured my knee - my "good" one. Sigh. Therefore, everything pretty much takes me twice as long to do and sitting gets uncomfortable for me. The entire class was very concerned for me on Thursday, it was lovely to see such caring children; they really are all very special to me, I hope you know that.
This is our final week of Term 1. Students will be doing some last quizzes in Math on Algebra (patterning), some reading assessments and their writing will be looked at. I have something special to show all of you soon, in regards to their writing, please keep posted, as I hope to have it up on the site and in the classroom by the end of the week. :- )
Please continue to have your child read every night. It would be beneficial if they could transport their independent reading book back and forth each day. I know that's a lot to ask for many...perhaps we could find extra copies at school and/or keep the book in a sealed plastic bag.
Lastly, February Scholastic book orders were sent home on Friday. Please note in the Arrow order form, there is a copy of "Because of Winn-Dixie" (#47), the novel I am currently reading aloud to the class. We are doing many fun activities with the book and it's one of my favourite books. There are also some great picks from the "Mind-Blowing" order. Have a look. All extra points go towards building our class library.
Thanks again for all your support,
